Retreat Speaker: Matt Carter-As a Freshman at Penn State, Matt Carter was drawn to Jesus Christ through the faithful witness of a Campus Crusade staffer named Keith Mauer. Throughout the three decades since then, he has grown to love the tapestry that is Scripture – how the Old and New Testaments are so intricately woven together, how within its pages we are confronted, not with a way of thinking, but with the most stunning individual creation has or will ever know. Matt is an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hiking, kayaking, and downhill skiing. He also enjoys building projects of many kinds, but especially stone masonry. He holds an MDiv from Biblical Theological Seminary in Hatfield, PA, and a certificate of Biblical Counseling from the Christian Counseling and Education Foundation in Glenside, PA. He and his wife, Cindy have four children and reside in Southeastern Pennsylvania where he serves as the Pastor of Family Ministries at Brick Lane Community Church.
